Elche Safari River - Guided safari by train, with aquarium, reptile house, bird area and animal shows. On the Santa Pola / Elche road, get there by bike or car (approx. 12kms. away).

Crevillente - Town with an important rug-making industry, 8 kms. south of Elche. Also visit the Mariano Benlluire museum there. Discover the castles of MONFORTE DEL CID, NOVELDA, PETRER, ELDA, SAX, VILLENA and BIAR in the Vinalopó Medio and Alto counties, an area that is famous for its gastronomy and wines (between 25 and 70 kms. from Camping Internacional La Marina).

Don?t forget to have a day in ORIHUELA and admire the extensive Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture of this town that sits either side of the River Segura, which reaches the sea near the campsite (some 30 kms. away on the San Fulgencio / Almoradí road). On the same excursion, you could visit COX, in the centre of Vega Baja and admire its castle; and in CALLOSA DEL SEGURA you must not miss the 16th century high priest?s church of San Martín. Safari Aitana and Safari Vergel: two zoos inland from Benidorm, part can be seen by car, and part on foot. The animals are captive but uncaged and in natural surroundings.
